President Claudia Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted the growth of Mexican electronics exports, in light of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) projection that they will increase 26% this year.
The President noted that demand for data centers in the United States has driven the expansion of plants in Mexico and anticipated that this sector could maintain its growth.
She also indicated that the automotive industry has recovered part of its activity despite tariffs, while Mexico has expanded its export markets to Europe and Japan, with various products.
The ECLAC projection places Mexico above the regional average and above economies such as Argentina and Brazil.
