KAZAN, October 16. /TASS/. The Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan (TIDA) provides Russian businesses with expert and analytical materials on the economies of Indian states, TIDA head Taliya Minullina said this at the 2nd Russia-India Business Forum TIME in Kazan.
"We are the only agency in Russia that is a member of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA)," Minullina told a session on investment and financial opportunities for Russia-India cooperation. "At my request, our Indian colleagues prepared an extensive catalog of Indian states with fresh and accurate data on their economies and opportunities. They shared nearly 4,000 slides, which we translated into Russian and compiled into brochures for the entire country."
She noted that Tatarstan’s role extends beyond hosting the forum. "We are working not just as organizers, but also as a provider of expert and analytical materials for the whole country," Minullina added.
According to her, this initiative helps Russian businesses better grasp the unique characteristics of individual Indian regions. "Mumbai and New Delhi are not the whole of India. We must understand what Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, and West Bengal are. We are closely studying these Indian states ourselves and encouraging our colleagues across Russian regions to dive into this information," the TIDA head explained.
The 2nd Russia-India Business Forum TIME: Tatarstan-India. Mutual Efficiency is taking place from October 14 to 17 in Kazan. TASS is the general media partner of the event.
