Rachel will cause heavy rainfall in Baja California, sustained winds of 60 to 80 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h on the coasts of Baja California; 40 to 60 km/h with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h on the western coast of Baja California Sur (north), as well as waves of 5 to 7 m on the western coast of Baja California, and 4 to 5 m on the western coast of Baja California Sur.
"The rainfall generated by both systems could cause landslides, rising river and stream levels, as well as overflows and flooding in low-lying areas of the aforementioned states, so the population is urged to remain attentive to SMN warnings and follow Civil Protection recommendations," it stated through a meteorological advisory.
