This is not the time to ease pressure on Russia, and Europe won’t, Kaja Kallas said
BRUSSELS, October 10. /TASS/. The European Union is unhappy with Washington's decision to allow Russian diesel imports and plans to adopt the 22nd package of sanctions on Moscow, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said. "Suspending sanctions on Russian diesel provides Moscow with more revenues," she wrote on X. "This is not the time to ease pressure on Russia, and Europe won’t," Kallas stressed. "On Monday, EU Foreign Ministers intend to approve the biggest set of sanctions listings," she added. On October 8, EU ambassadors approved a move to blacklist over 1,500 companies and individuals linked to the production of military and dual-use goods. Earlier, the US suspended its restrictions on Russian diesel imports and secondary sanctions on its sale on the global market.
