Rains advance over the Northeast and North regions

The cold front moving across the Atlantic Ocean and causing rain in the Central-West and Southeast of the country advances this Friday (2) into the interior of the Northeast and over the North of the country, reports the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). In the Northeast Region, rain falls over the interior of the region, especially in the so-called Matopiba — which covers the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí, and Bahia — where there is a yellow warning of potential danger for storms. It may also rain in Ceará, central and eastern Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, eastern Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, and Sergipe. In central and southern Ceará, eastern Piauí, central and northern Bahia, western Alagoas, central and western Pernambuco and Paraíba, and southwestern Rio Grande do Norte, a potential danger warning also alerts for low air humidity. The minimum temperature in the capitals is 22 degrees Celsius (°C) in Maceió, and the maximum is 38°C in Teresina. In the North of the country, a yellow warning of potential danger alerts for storms in Acre, Rondônia, Amazonas, Tocantins, southern Pará, and the northwest, west, and south of Roraima. The sun predominates and temperatures remain high in northern and eastern Roraima, where there is also a possibility of isolated rain. The thermometers read among the capitals a minimum of 22°C in Rio Branco and a maximum of 37°C in Palmas. In the Central-West, almost the entire region is under a yellow warning of potential danger for storms, except for the extreme south of Mato Grosso do Sul. It rains with thunder in Mato Grosso, Goiás, the Federal District, and in the northwest, north, and east of Mato Grosso do Sul. In the capitals, the minimum will be 19°C in Brasília and the maximum will be 31°C in Goiânia. In the Southeast Region, an orange danger warning alerts for storms in eastern Minas Gerais and in western Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro. It rains with thunderstorms in the Triângulo Mineiro and southeastern Minas Gerais; in the northwest, north, and east of São Paulo; in Rio de Janeiro; and in southern Espírito Santo. In northeastern Minas Gerais, a yellow warning of potential danger alerts for low air humidity, in the only region of the Southeast where it is not expected to rain. Among the capitals, the expected minimum temperature is 13°C in São Paulo and the maximum is 30°C in Belo Horizonte. In the South Region, the day begins with the possibility of fog in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, eastern Paraná, and northeastern Santa Catarina. There is a possibility of frost in southern Rio Grande do Sul and in the central and northern region of the state, as well as southern Santa Catarina. There is a possibility of isolated rain in northern, northeastern, and coastal Paraná. The minimum temperature will be 9°C in Porto Alegre, and the maximum will not exceed 23°C, also in Porto Alegre.
