The board of Banco Consorcio announced that, as of October 1, Luis Enrique Araya Martínez will take over as the new general manager of the financial institution.
Araya will replace Gonzalo Ferrer Aaladro, who submitted his resignation last August citing personal reasons.
In its communication to the Financial Market Commission (CMF), the board acknowledged and thanked Ferrer for his work.
Araya is an industrial civil engineer and holds a master's degree in Engineering Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In addition, he has more than 30 years of professional experience, most of it in banking.
His tenure at Banco Santander Chile stands out in particular, where he served for 28 years in various executive positions, such as commercial manager of Payment Methods, Investments, People Management, Branch Network, among others.
"We are convinced that Luis's incorporation will be a significant contribution to continue driving the development of Banco Consorcio, strengthening our capabilities and the value proposition we offer to our individual and business clients," highlighted the general manager of Consorcio Financiero, Ignacio Ossa.
Araya served as manager of Business and Institutional Banking at Santander until September of last year, when Andrés Trautmann arrived as general manager and restructured the institution.
