A drone attack on an oil refinery in western Libya destroyed a storage tank, putting oil facilities at risk and potentially aggravating fuel shortages in the OPEC nation.
The attack on Zawiya refinery started a fire before the fuel tank collapsed due to high temperatures, National Oil Corp. Chairman Masoud Suleman said in an interview. Authorities sought to extinguish the flames and cool other tanks to prevent them from being set ablaze, he added.
