The preliminary balance also indicates thousands of homes affected and 13 structures at risk of collapse. During the emergency, 16 people were evacuated and rescued from the Megacable in Pereira. The secretary of Megabús, Carlos Alberto Ordóñez, explained that they remained trapped in cabins for several hours and were released around 1:30 p.m., after the system stopped due to power outage.
