It also contemplates joint projects and research, training programs, and cooperation on new technologies applied to education, along with school exchange programs to develop educational programs and activities between institutions. The document states that each country may recognize, according to its legislation, the studies completed in the other, with exchange of information on certificates, diplomas, degrees, and other documents issued by recognized institutions. It also promotes student mobility through scholarship programs and participation in scientific and cultural competitions. However, this measure establishes that matters related to scholarships and exchanges must be agreed upon separately between the competent ministries. The document foresees the recognition of studies according to each country's legislation and the exchange of information on certificates, diplomas, and degrees; as well as the promotion of scholarships between both countries. The implementation will be managed by the Ministry of Education of Guatemala and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary. The agreement will be valid for five years and includes automatic renewals for successive periods of the same duration, unless one of the parties notifies its decision to terminate it at least six months in advance. Activities will be subject to the availability of financial and human resources, and each country will cover its own expenses.
