LATAM Airlines plane sends mayday signal in Argentinian airspace

BUENOS AIRES, August 10. /TASS/. An Airbus A320 passenger plane of LATAM Airlines has sent a distress signal somewhere around the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires, the Flightradar portal said. The plane took off from Buenos Aires and headed to Santiago but shortly after takeoff sent the ‘Squawk 7700’ signal, which indicates an emergency situation on board. A decision was made to return to Buenos Aires and, as of 11:35 p.m. Moscow time, the plane is descending somewhere over the Argentinian capital.
