The will of Patrizia Reggiani's mother has been declared false

The will of Patrizia Reggiani's mother, who served her sentence as the mastermind behind the murder of her husband Maurizio Gucci, has been declared false by the 4th Section of the Civil Court of Milan and could grant her 77-year-old daughter an inheritance of at least 20 million euros, Corriere della Sera reports. Through the will, received and registered by Cremona notary Alberto Pavesi, 90-year-old Silvana Barbieri Reggiani left a large portion of her real estate assets on November 6, 2018, not to her daughter Patrizia, but to the "Fernando and Silvana Reggiani Foundation," which she had established, appointing lawyer Maurizio Enrico Carlo Giani to preside over and manage it as executor. The Foundation received a real estate complex in Milan worth at least 14 million euros, a legacy of 4 million euros, and a fee of 100,000 euros. If the first-instance annulment—which has been appealed by the Foundation's lawyers—becomes final, the heir will revert to Patrizia Reggiani, who is still under court-ordered support administration. Years ago, the Milan Prosecutor's Office, with prosecutors Tiziana Siciliano and Michela Bordieri, had already conducted a trial accusing Giani of "undue influence" over the 90-year-old Barbieri, but the man was acquitted.
