The civil organization Mexicanos Primero supported the decision of the state educational authorities and the Ministry of Public Education to maintain the 2025-2026 school calendar without changes, considering that any modification must guarantee the right to learning for girls, boys, and adolescents. In a public statement, the organization stated that no decision in educational policy can be placed above the best interests of children, and emphasized that the voices of teachers and families must be taken into account in the definition of school measures. Mexicanos Primero pointed out that educational decentralization allows states to make decisions in accordance with the needs of their school communities, as long as the well-being and learning of students are prioritized. It also pointed out that the federal agency must ensure compliance with the 185 effective days of class, address academic delays, and conduct evaluations on time and in a proper manner, with appropriate materials and teaching staff prepared to support the learning of nearly 30 million students.
