The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, reported the arrest in Nuevo León of José Antonio "N," allegedly the leader of a criminal cell linked to the Northwest Cartel. Through social media, the federal official detailed that a woman was also arrested, and that this criminal group is involved in operations related to illicit funds and fuel smuggling. "Ten firearms, drug doses, 11 vehicles, 6 motorcycles, computer equipment, cash, and 7 tigers were seized," he stated. García Harfuch indicated that this operation was carried out as a result of investigative work following the seizure of a ship in Tamaulipas. Therefore, personnel from the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), and the Attorney General's Office (FGR) executed four search warrants. "The investigations are ongoing," the Secretary of Security assured.
