At the location, the congressman was participating in an anniversary event accompanied by members of his team. According to the report, Olivares was unexpectedly approached by an individual who punched him in the face. Subsequently, a second individual pushed him to the ground and kicked him while he was immobilized. During the incident, one of the congressman's advisors attempted to assist him, but was also attacked by the assailants. Both the congressman and his collaborator were taken to the Limache Hospital, where they were diagnosed with minor injuries. Olivares' Version: Hours after the incident, the congressman's parliamentary office issued a statement describing the event as a politically motivated assault. According to the statement, Olivares was "cowardly attacked from behind" by a player from the sports club. The document also states that the attacker and his brother, who subsequently fled the scene, have prior police records.
